Programming Tweaks

These changes are done using the VCDS software, do not attempt this is you are unfamiliar with the use of the software.

This will sweep the needles of the speedo and rev counter through their full range automatically when you start the engine.

Click on BYTE 1 and you'll see the selectable option: "Gauge Test/Needle Sweep active"
Check this option

Chirp the alarm siren briefly when the alarm activates (ie all doors are closed and the car is locked)

Click on BYTE 1 and in BIT 2 you'll see the selectable option: "Anti-Theft-System: Horn Confirmation active"

When reverse gear is selected, the passenger door mirror dips to show the kerb if the mirror control knob is set to the passenger door mirror position. When driving forwards and exceeding 5mph or when switching off the car, the passenger mirror returns to its original position. If the position of the mirror is changed when dipped, this change is remembered the next time the mirror dips.

In the high-beam assistant's control unit, you have the option of adjusting the dimming and superimposition speeds on the Audi A6. For example, if you want the high-beam control assistant to activate earlier, you can easily adjust/modify it as described.

(Speed at which the high beam can be displayed according to the environmental conditions)
Value For example, adjust to 30 - standard 57 km/h

(Speed at which the main beam is dimmed and the high beam assistant is deactivated)
Value For example, adjust to 10 - default: 27 km/h

In the onboard supply control unit, you have the option of activating the motorway light on the Audi A6 4F. At high speed (from 110 km/h), the illumination of the xenon is then automatically adjusted - the light cone becomes narrower in width and thus longer.

The Lap Timer options appears in the DIS menu when you press the button on the underside of the wiper control stalk.

In the dash panel control unit / instrument cluster, you have the option of having the Audi A6 4F display the oil temperature in the DIS. The following coding is to be used:

Click on BYTE 1 and in BIT 3 you'll see the selectable option: "Display Oil Temp", Check this option
